that dogs often notice
when you’re feeling malnourished
and need their love focus.

enjoying his jaunt
hears my chirp greeting
and his little tail taunts

bright eyes and a quick motion
he gives a little jump
gratefully obliging
i scratch his wiggle rump

these little furry creatures –
enchanted loving souls
beam bright their pure goodness
and are earthlife’s vitals
